Privacy Policy

FlightCorridor is a community flight tracker for the Infinite Flight simulator. This policy explains the information the site and its Discord bot handle when you browse the map or create an account.
Information we use
- Account: your IFC username, a salted password hash, account role, account status, and sign-in session. We do not collect or use email addresses. A Discord connection is required to finish a new account; we store your Discord user ID and username. We do not store your Discord password.
- Features you choose: profile photo, aircraft photos and review history, support messages and replies, notification settings and messages, announcements and poll votes, and flight alert settings. An aircraft photo you submit can be displayed publicly with your username after approval.
- Flight information: live aircraft and pilot details come from the Infinite Flight API. Your IFC username may match a public pilot name in that feed; matching is not verification of ownership. Flight positions are fetched for viewing and are not saved as an account history by FlightCorridor.
- Usage and security: Cloudflare can process request details such as IP address and device information to deliver and secure the site. We use a one-way hash derived from your IP address to limit signup attempts. Your browser stores map view, theme, units, and other display preferences locally on your device.
Why we use it
We use this information to operate the tracker, create and protect accounts, link Discord, send the notifications you enable and account security messages, manage support and photo reviews, detect misuse, and keep the service working. We do not sell account information or use site code for advertising profiles.
Service providers and public content
Cloudflare hosts the site and database. MapTiler provides the map and may process map requests under the MapTiler Privacy Policy. If you enable the Test Version weather radar, RainViewer supplies recent radar imagery. Discord processes account authorization and any bot messages under the Discord Privacy Policy. Infinite Flight supplies simulator traffic, and the U.S. Aviation Weather Center supplies airport weather. We share data with these services only as needed for the relevant features. Approved aircraft photos, their credits, and content you choose to post publicly may be seen by visitors.
Password recovery
Password reset links are delivered to your linked Discord account. They expire after 30 minutes and can be used once; only a hash of the reset token is stored. When authorized staff reset a password, a temporary password is sent by Discord DM and shown to the staff member performing that reset so they can help if delivery fails. You can choose a new password in Account settings. Account security messages are sent independently of optional notification preferences.
Cookies and storage
We use secure, HttpOnly cookies for your sign-in session, the Discord connection process, and your Current or Test Version selection. The session expires after up to 30 days; you can sign out sooner. Essential cookies are needed to keep account features working. Browser storage remembers map and display choices on your device. MapTiler and Discord may use their own storage according to their policies.
Retention and your choices
We keep account information and submitted content while an account is active or as needed to operate the service, resolve disputes, or meet applicable obligations. Pending signup data expires after 10 minutes and is removed during registration cleanup. You can change your password, username, profile photo, and notification settings in Account settings; you can delete your own photo submissions and support tickets where the site offers that action. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of account information by opening a support request. If you cannot access an account, contact the FlightCorridor team through the Discord server. We will handle requests as applicable law requires.
Children and changes
Do not create an account if you are below the minimum age for Discord in your location. We may revise this policy as the service changes; the effective date above identifies the current version. Material updates will be posted here.
